My painting practice explores painting through its own conceptual logic. Landscape, understood from an emotional perspective, functions as a pretext to evoke memories and sensations, granting them a space or a place such as a sunset, a sunrise, any moment of the day, or any season of the year.
In the Colorfield series, which I have been developing since 2022, I return to the color field tradition of the 1950s and 1960s to construct an emotional window. I do not start from photographs of specific places, but from the sensation of the landscape itself. However, the title of each work introduces a personal narrative dimension, working from the inside out and attending to tonal ranges according to the time of day and the season.
The titles allude to musical themes, reinforcing the nostalgic and intimate character of the series. The relationship between color and sound establishes a correspondence between chromatic and musical notes, turning the body of work into a visual and sonic testimony.
